FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We launch from Whitestrand Pontoon, TQ8 8ET. As you walk into Whitestrand carpark in the middle of town, there are toilets in the top left hand corner. From there you will see the ramp down to the pontoon.
Whitestrand Pontoon is situated in Whitestrand pay and display car park. The maximum stay here is one hour, so we would recommend using the Park & Ride at the top of town or Creek Car Park signposted as “Boat Park”. Please note there are two disabled parking bays in Whitestrand close to where the boat will launch from.
In July & August particularly, allow plenty of time to park as it is very busy.
To reach the boat requires navigating a ramp onto the pontoon, which is flat at high tide or sloping at low tide. The boat itself has a a couple of steps down to manage, but there is a grab rail and our skippers are on hand to help.
We are able to get most people on board, even those with limited mobility. Should we be unable to get you on the boat, please know we would happily offer you a full refund.
Yes, dogs are welcome and are free of charge.
Absolutely, we welcome all ages onboard. A ticket must be purchased for all children as the boat has a maximum capacity that cannot be exceeded.
Buggies may be brought on board if we have enough space, or else they can be left on the pontoon or by our shop, Bojangles.
We have emergency lifejackets for babies through to adults.
We would strongly recommend booking in advance, especially in the school holidays. The easiest way to book is online.
We can take payments on board if you want to just turn up or you can visit our shop, Bojangles where a member of staff would be happy to help you with a booking.
Yes of course. We do weddings, celebrations, picnics and all manner of bespoke cruises for those that want to enjoy more time on the water. Please contact us and we can discuss the options.
Yes, you can book all guided trips exclusively. On the booking page, select the option to "book entire trip". You are welcome to bring your own food and drink on board for the occasion.

If the tides are right, we can land on the pontoon at Port Waterhouse, in East Portlemouth and alongside the quay at The Crabshell Inn, in Kingsbridge. For these options you would need to hire the boat exclusively. Contact us for more details.
No, this boat is too big and heavy to take near the beach. We could anchor near the shore during a bespoke hire.
No, it is only a small boat. There are public toilets in Whitestrand car park, just at the top of the slipway where you meet the boat.
