Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

  • Payment in full is required to reserve a trip.

  • Bookings can be made online via our website, by phone, or in person at our designated booking office (Bojangles of Salcombe).

  • By completing a booking, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Customer Cancellations: * Cancellations made at least 48 hours before departure: Full refund.

    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure: Generally non-refundable. However, if we are able to resell your seats, a refund may be issued at our discretion, minus a £5 administration fee.

  • No-Shows: If you fail to arrive at the departure point by the scheduled time, no refund will be issued.

  • Processing: Refunds are processed via the original payment method and may take up to 7 days to reflect in your account.

3. Safety and Operational Discretion

  • Weather & Safety: Salcombe Cruises reserves the right to cancel any trip if we deem conditions unsafe (e.g., adverse weather, tidal surges, or mechanical issues). The Skipper’s decision is final.

  • Cancellations by Us: If we cancel your trip, you will be offered a reschedule (subject to availability) or a full refund.

  • Refusal of Carriage: For the safety of all passengers, we reserve the right to refuse boarding to anyone who appears intoxicated, is acting aggressively, or is otherwise unfit to travel. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Arrival: You must arrive at Whitestrand Pontoon (TQ8 8ET) at least 5 minutes prior to departure. We cannot hold the boat for late arrivals as it impacts subsequent tours.

  • Accuracy: You are responsible for providing a valid mobile number and email address. We are not liable for missed trips if we were unable to reach you with weather updates.

  • Parking: Please allow significant time for parking in Salcombe, especially during July and August. We are not responsible for delays caused by local traffic or car park capacity.

5. Conduct and Environment

  • Passengers are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow guests, crew, and the marine environment.

  • Any disruptive behaviour or failure to follow the Skipper’s safety instructions may result in immediate removal from the cruise without a refund.

6. Liability

  • Personal Property: Salcombe Cruises is not liable for the loss of or damage to personal items brought on board (e.g., phones, cameras, sunglasses, jewellery). We strongly recommend items are secured.

  • General Liability: Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence, our total liability shall be limited to the total price paid for the booking. We are not liable for any "consequential losses" (e.g., missed dinner reservations or travel costs).

7. Data Protection

  • We process your data to manage your booking and safety.

  • Marketing: As an existing customer, we may occasionally email you about our new season or special offers. You can opt out of these emails at any time using the "Unsubscribe" link provided in the email or by contacting us directly.

8. Amendments

Salcombe Cruises reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon being posted to our website or booking platform.
